Locked Out of Your Own Files
A forgotten archive password is one of computing's quiet frustrations. The file is right there, but its contents are sealed away. Until now, most recovery tools solved this by asking the user to upload the locked file to a remote server, handing a private, encrypted file to a stranger's computer just to guess its password.

Recovery uses a wordlist attack, testing a built-in list of around 1.8 million of the most common passwords, ordered most-likely-first, using ezyZip's WebAssembly engine. A live progress display shows the current rate, the percentage complete and an estimated time remaining. Users who have a hunch about the password can also supply their own custom wordlist.

For tougher passwords, ezyZip Pro adds serious horsepower. GPU acceleration puts the computer's graphics card to work through WebGPU, testing candidates far faster than a processor alone on supported formats, including WinZip AES ZIP, RAR, 7-Zip and Office files. A multi-core "Turbo" mode spreads the work across the machine's CPU cores so nothing sits idle.
This combination is a genuine first. Other browser-based recovery tools are limited to the processor, while the tools that harness the GPU all require installing desktop software.
